Determine user rights in the software
The "User Profile" feature allows you to manage the rights a user will have in the software: ability to administer the firm, create/modify/delete folders, charge, etc. For more information, see the article "
Change the profile of your users".
Setting the user's session
Two features require a particular setting of the new user's session:
- Synchronization of his electronic messaging with Jarvis Legal (see article "Connect your mailbox");
- Synchronization of Jarvis Drive on his computer:
- Classic Jarvis Drive: see article "Install the Jarvis Box on PC"or "Install the Jarvis Box on Mac";
- Jarvis Drive 365: see article "Set up the Jarvis Box 365" and "Connect Jarvis Drive 365 to Office 365 apps".
Your Support Manager can accompany you in this setting.
Add a user to a Team
Teams allow you to organize your company's Jarvis Legal users by team. Users added to a Team are automatically added to the Drive Stakeholder and Access List of all files
existingfor which the team leader is a manager. For more information see the article "
User Teams".
Access to folders for a new user
At the file level two rights can be given to a user:
- The user is "Intervener" of a folder: he has the right to access and add activities, appointments or tasks:
- The user is in the "Driving Access" of a folder: he has the right to access the documents in the Jarvis Drive.
Note: These two rights may be cumulative.
For folders created before the new user arrives, two possibilities exist:
- Add this user to folders one by one: see article "Edit an existing folder";
- Add this user to all files of a given manager via the "Team" feature: see article "User Teams".
For future files, this user should be added to the list of Speakers in step 3 "Billing" and/or Step 4 "Documents" (see article "Creating a file"). Note: You have the opportunity for each
User profileto activate the right"
Access to all firm files". In doing so, affected users will have visibility on all folders in the Jarvis Legal interface. However, they will only be able to add activities, appointments or tasks if they are stakeholders in this file, and will only be able to view the records if they are in the Drive Access of this file.
Share a calendar with a user
In the Jarvis Legal calendar you can share your calendars with other Jarvis Legal users in your company. For more information, see the article "
Presentation of the calendar".
If your company has not enabled automatic contact sharing, each Jarvis Legal user will only see their own contacts and those that other users have shared with them via their settings (Contacts section).
