Insert a tag on a document

Reminder: In order to use document templates in Jarvis, it is mandatory that you have previouslyaccess to the "Access to the Document Models menu".

The tags are elements that will allow Jarvis toimplement automaticallyduring the documentary merger thedata that you have recorded in the fields of your Files, your contact cards or your invoices.

As a result, the more you mark your documents, the more time you will save when editing documents or invoices.

The Tags are in the form of a text between braces:#Balise#

Tags depend on the type of documents. There are 3 types of tags:
  1. theSimple tagsthat refer to only one field in Jarvis.
Example: In documents generated from Folders, the #NomDos# tag will imply the Name of the File in question. Since there is only one Folder name in a Folder we speak of Simple Tag.

  2. theTags Tablethat refer to fields that may have multiple results. To work these Tags must be included in a table.
Example: In documents generated as part of invoicing, there are be tags for listing all due diligence invoiced. The tags corresponding to the date of the diligence, its category, its amount, etc. will find in Jarvis as many results as there are due diligence charged. To work these tags must

  3. theTags Parties,in Documents Records only, which allow the selection of the Party concerned by the document generated.
Example: In a File you can have several Parties with the same typology (several Clients, several opponents...). The Parties tags are those that refer to the Parties of the File: Identity, Coordinates and other customizable fields of the relevant contact. If you have multiple Parties of the same typology when you manage a Document from the relevant File, you will be asked to choose the one you wish to appear in the document.

Using the Tag Library

To mark a model ofdocument cr cr:

Tags appear in the drop-down menu on the left.

To find out what a tag is, hover over the information pictogram with the mouse cursorto the right of each of them: this will show information on the relevant tag.

Note: If you are wondering what a Tag is in a document, copy it and paste it into the Tag Library search engine and, once it appears in the search results, hover over the pictogramwith the mouse cursor.

Using Tags

You have 3 methods to insert tags:

1. 1. Recover the Tag in the Library

Locate the tag that you want to embed into your Model in the Library (see above) and click it to insert it in the line in the document.

2. Copy the Tag from the Library

We recommend that you use this second method to tag your documents because it has the advantage of not changing your formatting. However, this method requires strict compliance with the nomenclature of tags. In other words, you will have to respect capital letters, lower case and spaces.

Ex: #Date Start#

3. Copy the Tag from another model

Open another tab of your Internet browser another already tagged template, locate the Tag you want to resume in your Model to copy it, and then paste it to the desired location of the document you are customizing.

Once your document is tagged (with either method) and layout, cliquech onSave and close
