Setting up activities


Attention(in French):This setting is only available to users with administrator rights (see articleChange your users' profile - Jarvis Legal Help Center).

You can edit or delete activity categories(Time, Services, Fees and Discounts) from yourparameters.

So when you
create an activity, you will only see the categories of activities that match your area of expertise.
The categories chosen by the administrator will be applied to all users.

Here are the steps to take to create your selection of customized activities:
  • From yourparameters, click on the menu "Following Activities" and then thesubmenu "Activities by Default"

  • Click on the tabon which you wish to create your predefined activities:Time, and theBenefits, and theFeesorDiscounts

  • Click on the buttonforchangean existing category


  • Click on the buttonfordelete deletean existing category



    Note: Categories associated with activities can no longer be removed. The deletion button appears grayed in this case.



  • Click on the green button "Add"at the top right of the page forAdda new category


When creating / modifying an activity category a window opens through which you can:
  1. Name the category
  2. Give him information by default (description, note, time worked for activities Time, amount excluding VAT for benefits, unit cost and quantity for expenses, etc.)
  3. Indicate whether activities under this category will be chargeable deficiency (box "Define as chargeable by default" checked) or non-billable (Define as chargeable by default" box)
  4. Election an accounting account (for customization of accounting accounts see the articleAdd an accounting account - Jarvis Legal Help Center).

Once you have set up all your activities, you can use them during thecreation of your future activities.
