When you create parts in your files, automatically Part tags will be created so that you can reuse them in your Folder Document templates.
1. 1. Let's define PARTIES when modifying a file
When you edit (or create) a folder, you are asked at the 2nd stage ofto define PARTIES. It is these parts that will allow you to "create" tags in your document templates.
NB: Some of you will probably ask yourself the following questions: Why create different parts for opposing lawyer #1, opposing lawyer #2, etc? Can we not simply put them all in the category "Adverse lawyer"?
Do you need to use the information of the opposing lawyer #1 and that of the opposing lawyer No. 2on the same document?
If the answer is:
- Yes: You will be required to create as many parts as there is information per person to appear.
- No: You can manage several people in the same type of Party. When editing the document, Jarvis will ask you if you wish to use the information about the opposing lawyer #1 or on #2. Therefore, if you choose this option, you will not be able to appear information both about the opposing lawyer #1 and the opposing lawyer #2 on the same document.
2. Let's mark our document template
We will now mark our document. The goal is that we no longer have to write by hand information that the software can complete for us.
Attention: it is imperative that your document is of the file file type because it is the only type of document in Jarvis that allows you to return information relating to several parties on a file.
Here we will use an existing Conclusions model.
- Click on thepuzzle part and then select "Jarvis Merge Field" to access theLibrary of Tags
- Thread the tags you will see that tags on raw parts have appeared
- Tag your model with the new tags
- Click onSave and closeonce the changes are completed
3. Let's use our model on a Folder
Now that our model is well marked, use it in a Folder:
- Choose the model to use
- Give him a name
- Define where you want to store it in your Drive
- Validate
It is not necessary to tell the tool which person should be Advocate Adverse2 since there is only one in the file.
Example: 2 clients, 2 opposing lawyers...
- Choose the model to use
- Give him a name
- Define where you want to store it in your Drive
- Choose which person you want to use on your document
- Validate
As previously said, the tool cannot put 2 people with different information in the same place on the document.
Your model merges. Information of the Party entitledLawyer Adverse2, here Louis SMITH, appear of course on the document.
You have been able to use one of the advanced features of Jarvis' documentary merger. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any difficulties creating your Parties, setting up tags or modifying your templates.
