Duplicate a matter

Duplicate a matter

The duplication of a matter allows you to copy identical information from an existing folder (fields, including customized fields, parts, linked contacts, billing conditions, stakeholders and drive access), except:
  1. The name of the file: the duplicated matter will have the same name as the original matter followed by a number in brackets (for example "Kin Martin v. Dupont" becomes "Dossier Martin v. Dupont (1)").
  2. Reference: Each file must have a single reference, so the new file will take a new reference as if you had it created manually.
  3. Date of creation: The date of creation of the duplicated file is the date of duplication.

You can duplicate a folder from multiple pages in Jarvis:
  1. From the matter page : use the blue action button  at the top right and then select the "Duplicate" action

  2. From the list of all matters: use the grey action button  to the right of the folder to be duplicated and then select the "Duplicate" action to the right of the folder to be duplicated and then select the "Duplicate" action.

  3. From the "Matters" tab of a contact page: use the grey action button  to the right of the folder to be duplicated and then select the "Duplicate" action to the right of the folder to be duplicated and then select the "Duplicate" action.

Once the "Duplicate" action has been selected, one window of confirmation appears to allow you to confirm the duplication or cancel it. Click on the "Duplicate folder" to confirm duplication.

You then redirected to the page of the new folder that you can change if necessary.
