Validate a credit note

You can validate your credit note from the Customer's Equity tab (1), or from one of the billing tables (for example, the one available in the Billing tab of the contact) (2). If the credit relates to a fee invoice, it will be possible to release the activities related to it when validating the cancellation credit (3).

1 Validate from the Assets tab of a contact sheet

  • 1. 1. Appointment in theTailors tabof your customer(see article "Access the menu of a contact's assets")

  • 2. Click on the buttonEdit(grey button with three small dots) at the end of the line, then select the optionValidate


The validation window then opens (see point 2.3)

2 Validate from the billing table

  1. 1. 1. Go to the billing table (accessible via the menu on the left in Billing > Invoices, or via the "Billing" tabs on the contact or folder)

  2. 2. Click on the buttonEdit(grey button with three small dots) to the right of the credit, and select the optionSwitch to Validate

3 Release of activities related to cancelled fee invoice

When validating a have a confirmation window opens, and just click on the buttonYesto pass it into "Validated" status



When the credit is intended to cancel a fee invoice, a particular window opens to allow you to release the activities related to that fee bill for re-bill them:



CAUTION: 2 possibilities:
  1. You want to cancel the invoice completely andyou do not want to reuse the activitiesthat were on it to redo an invoice: click directly on the buttonValidate

  2. You want to cancel the invoice completely andyou want to reuse the activitieswho were on it to redo an invoice:check the box to the fee invoice numberthen click onValidate


Credit it on your fee bill is now established and validated.

NB: If you checked the box to reuse the activities of the cancelled invoice, you will find them in your file in billable activities. You can modify them, delete them or repeat an invoice on them.

To make the invoice visible in "Sales Invoices", it is appropriate to use the action button and put it on sale.
