Set JarvisDrive 365 to open documents in desktop Office apps

This setting is only possible for users with administrator rights in the relevant Microsoft 365 account.

Default when you open an Office document directly from JarvisDrive 365, it opens in the Internet browser via the corresponding Office online app. For example, a document with the .DOCX extension opens by default with Microsoft Word online in the Internet browser.

It is not possible to set JarvisDrive 365 so that these documents open directly in the desktop Office app (the one installed on your computer).

  1. Go to your JarvisDrive 365 and click on the island ofParameters, then select "on the site"




  2. Election "View all settings of the site"




  3. Under "Site Collection Administration", select "Features of the site collection"




  4. Search in the list for entry "Open documents in client applications" then click on the button "Activate"to be
