Defer a Customer as active or inactive

In order to have a clear view of the parties involved on your files, it is possible to design your clients as active or inactive on a file.

in theâ€" step "2 - Parts" of the form for creating/amendment of a filein themodal "Edit the parts",aActive / Inactive buttonallows you to design in one click thestatusclients in the file (NB: a client being inactive in one file will not automatically be in another).



When a client is inactive, then on the file page,its information will be greyed and an "Inactive" label will be displayed.



Activities and Billing

If there are still someactivities to be chargedon the file, the client may be passed to Inactive buta message will be displayed when hovering over the Active / Inactive buttonto inform you"Caution: The file contains non-billed activities related to this clientÂ".



  • On single-client files: when the client has been transferred to Inactive,the addition of activitieson the file andthe creation of proforma filearemore possible(the buttons"New activity" and "Proforma folder" are no longer clickableand thefolder no longer appears in the "Folder" list when clicking on the "+" button in the top bar)

  1. On multi-client files:
    • When all clients have been inactive, and theadding activities to the folderand thecreation of proforma filearemore possible(the buttons"New Activity" and "Customer Distribution" are no longer clickableandthe folder no longer appears in the "Fold" list at the click on the "+" button in the top bar)
    • Where one or more clients have been inactive but one or more active clients remain on the file,inactive customers will no longer appear on in the window Customer distributionand thecommon activities will be shared between active customers. If a customer isreactivated, and thethe activities common to the file will all be shared between the active clients of the file(i.e., the client active after the creation of activities).

Adding activities from a contact

Once your customeractivated on one or more files, you can no longerAddfrom the customer's listingactivities on related files.


Transfer of activities

Thetransfer of activities from one file to another(Group actions > Transfer to another file),is notnotpossibleto:
  • thesingle-client files on which the client has been passed into Inactive
  • themulti-client file on which all clients have been inactive

If the user transfers activities to a multi-client file on which multiple clients have been inactive but one or more active clients remain on the file,transferred activities will only be allocated to active customers.


Customer portal

When a client has been rendered inactive on a file,sharing of the file via thecustomer portal is disabledbut can bemanually reactivated.
